Position Overview:

Our Client is an 8 bedded residential home in Holywood, providing services for 8 adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs.

As part of the eight-person service, they also provide a 'respite' facility.

As a community Driver, you will be responsible for facilitating social outreach for residents by providing transport to attend daycentre, appointments and other outings as planned.

You will play a key part in promoting independence and ensuring that all residents have access to the services they need.

The Job:
30 hours per week

Monday

Friday 930am330pm

£20,048 (pro rata per annum)

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and punctually transporting individuals to day centre, appointments and outings.
Ensure all travel arrangements are prioritised.
Assisting passengers with boarding, securing mobility aids, and ensuring their comfort during the journey.
Maintain a professional relationship with service users.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, trust and adhere to GDPR requirements
Ensure vehicle inspections are completed
Ensure vehicle is maintained and cleaned to a high standard

Requirements:

Category D1 Minibus licence (this does not include licences issued with D1 category nfhr) and driver CPC licence or willing to complete CPC on appointment
Friendly and patient demeanour with good communication skills.
Experience of working in a similar environment providing transport/driving duties.
Ability to assist service users with mobility needs.
Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety.
