An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East Sussex CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Service for an experienced Community Mental Health Practitioner/nurse preferably with experience and skills in working with Neuro Developmental Pathways.


The post is for 6 months to cover maternity leave and is 1 WTE, 37.5 hours within our usual working hours of M-F 9-5.


The role is predominantly clinical, and you will be implementing the clinical pathway for ADHD and ASC in East Sussex under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager.

Our main base is Hailsham but we have bases in Hastings, Hailsham and Lewes CAMHS.


You will develop and maintain strong links with your ADHD and ASC colleagues and the rest of the CAMHS teams within East Sussex.

You will hold a caseload of complex young people at all stages on the pathway, and also contribute to service development, and advise and support colleagues on neurodevelopmental issues through team meetings and reflective practice sessions.


To screen neuro developmental packs to ascertain whether it is appropriate to place a young person on a waiting list for ADHD or ASC assessments.

To carry out assessments for ADHD & ASC

To complete and update risk and care plans

The Sussex Partnership Neuro developmental hubs are an exciting new pathway to manage neuro developmental referrals for young people within a wider mental health trust which serves the communities of Sussex, Brighton and Hove and Hampshire

The post is for a mental health practitioner to join our team.

Members of the team participate in all stages of assessments for ASC & ADHD including screening, QB tests, ADOS and ADI assessments and training will be provided
