Hybrid (Mostly remote)


PURPOSE OF THE JOB:


Voyage Care's IT Services department is currently undertaking a broad, far-reaching, and exciting change programme in its delivery of IT operations to the business, it's staff and the people we support.

We are seeking a senior IT Systems Administrator who will operate as a member of the final escalation team comprised of SysAdmins, Network Engineers, and IT Security specialists.

You will provide in-depth technical development and systems maintenance as wellas the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

You will also often be in direct contact with non-technical staff, so you will need to be a confident communicator.


KEY RESULT AREAS:


  • IT systems technical engineering support for the business's servers, services, and virtual infrastructure, onpremises, and cloud.
  • Provide root cause analysis of technical issues and implement appropriate resolutions.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of the business's disaster and recovery processes.
  • You may be required from time to time to visit any of the company's locations to install or maintain IT equipment.
  • Create and maintain documentation of IT processes, services, and operation.
  • Keep accurate records of company equipment, software, and installations
  • Any other duties consummate with the post and/or hours of work, as may reasonably be required of you at your initial place of work or at any other of the company's establishments.

Skill or Abilities

Required

  • Extensive experience of Active Directory and supporting systems, including user and machine management, Group Polices, DNS and DHCP, etc.
  • Working experience of operating in Microsoft Azure (Azure AD, VMs, Storage, VNets, Backup, Enterprise App registration and configuration etc)
  • Microsoft 365 administration in all aspects of services offered within the product (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams etc).
  • Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS) management and maintenance
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Working experience with SQL systems, stand alone, clusters, onpremises and in Azure
  • Server virtualisation using Hyper-V and VMware
  • Configuring and troubleshooting Windows Certificate Services
  • Configuring Azure Conditional Access
  • Excellent understanding and capability to deploy Microsoft 365 Compliance, Governance and Protection features.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server
  • Demonstratable knowledge and experience of scripting technologies to interact with onpremises and cloud services (including PowerShell).
  • Experience in the operation of backup and recovery functions using Azure Backup and Veeam
  • Microsoft Clustering. implementation and management.
  • The ability to work and deliver under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Strong teamworking ethos & desire to share knowledge and best practices
  • Good communication skills
  • Driving License

Desired

  • MS Direct Access \ Always On VPN.
  • Configure Network Load Balancers
  • Good understanding of network technologies including subnetting, Vlans, ACLs, etc. with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot connections
