Cambridge Hospital | Management Team | Permanent contract | Full time

Depending on skills and experience

37.5 hours per week


The Personal Assistant role is to provide organisational and administrative support to the Director, including acting as an effective gatekeeper, hosting and acting as the primary contact for all enquiries, managing and coordinating all diary and travel commitments, supporting the payments and procurement processes, contributing to meetings, and providing overall assistance in the day-to-day running of the department.

The role requires substantial discretion, diplomacy, sound judgement and personal integrity.


As Personal Assistant to HD and Matron, you will:
Act as ambassador for the department internally and externally
Meet and greet visitors and guests
Filter, redirect and respond to Director's telephone calls/written correspondence as necessary. These may often be of a complex or confidential nature requiring tact and diplomacy
Facilitate travel/facilities requirements for visitors
Producing documents/information. transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, data, graphics etc
Maintaining accurate records
Prioritising
Maintain the utmost level of confidentiality at all times
Work as one team across all PAs covering absence to ensure support to the Director
Work on own initiative
