Outline Duties:
- Develops, implements and monitors production policies and procedures in conjunction with the Production Manager.
- Issue works orders to the production team and communicate expectations to meet customer delivery dates.
- Oversees the implementation of methods to track employee output.
- Enforce shop floor discipline focusing on mobile phones and working to the bell
- Establishes priorities to ensure manufacturing team works most efficiently.
- Addresses production problems as they arise.
- Organises for the repair or replacement of faulty production equipment with the Process Improvement Engineer.
- Reports on team performance to the Production Manager.
- Makes recommendations about ways to improve production efficiency and rece costs.
- Assist in the implementation of recommended manufacturing cost reduction initiatives.
- Schedule workload for employees across relevant section
- Review the quality of finished goods once works orders are completed.
- Oversee the effective clear down of all completed manufactured product.
- Deputise for the Production Manager in their absence.
General
- We have a small production team, and it is therefore essential that all members of the team be prepared to help each other in times of need. This does mean that a flexible attitude to the duties to be carried out is essential; providing cover for other members of the team will be a requirement of this position.
- All holidays must be carefully coordinated with the other members of the team; only one member of the team may be on holiday at any point in time (except during fixed shutdown periods)
