hours per week, 52 weeks per year


Salary:
Approx. £15,700 (FTE £36,890 per annum - Subject to experience and qualification)

Apprenticeships:
Development opportunities are available through Apprenticeship standards

IN SHORT**HMP Bullingdon have an exciting opportunity for an English and Maths Outreach Tutor to join the prison-based Education Team.


As an Outreach Tutor you will also work closely with other prison departments, officers and workshop instructors to promote and support the implementation of the prison's Reading Strategy as well as to gain the best overall outcomes for our learners.

HMP Bullingdon**Bullingdon Community Prison is situated near the village of Arncott in Bicester, Oxon. HMP Bullingdon is a complex prison that has several functions. It is categorized as a local category B prison which a category C resettlement function. HMP Bullingdon has the capacity to hold 1114 offenders all serving a range of sentences from remand to life, with the average length of stay between 3 and 6 months.

The College works closely with our prison colleagues to deliver short to medium courses that help prepare learners for employment upon release


Courses include:

English and Maths Functional Skills (Entry 2 to Level 2), ESOL, ICT, Barista, Hospitality, Business, Self-Employment, Personal Development, Art, Painting & Decorating, Horticulture, General Maintenance Skills, Mentoring and Barbering.
