The Data Platform team is a key component of C4'a Technology organisation that provides an enriched and valuable ecosystem of data platform and data services that drive innovation for our partners and clients, within C4.

Data is the most valuable asset in C4. The Data Platform Department is dedicated to develop advanced technology (e.g. Cloud, Machine Learning and Big Data), systems and services to make data secure, high quality, rich, fast, and easy to use, therefore enabling C4 the ability to leverage its data asset in an effective and timely manner to maximize technology/business development and differentiate C4 from others in the Broadcast and Media industry.

JOB PURPOSE

Your role as Data governance & Architecture lead in the DATS Team is to act as one of key technology contributors to build, govern and manage C4's data and technology assets in the data Platform.

You will be a crucial part of defining and delivery the Data Strategy for C4.

You will develop/manage a company-wide Data Governance strategy to manage the information life cycle effectively. Assist with setting up of Data Governance Council, winning buy-in from Senior Management. Develop/Drive governance strategy working directly with senior management and teams to ensure alignment with the overall objectives. Write standards and policies for Data Governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide Architectural leadership and vision for C4's Data Platform and Data Lake. Develop and maintain architectural roadmap for data products and data services plus ensuring alignment with the business and enterprise architecture strategies and standards. Able to develop, present and explain the value and vision of proposed architectures and solutions to a wide range of audience.
Contribute to the DP strategies and roadmap development to meet business objectives with existing or emerging technologies. Ability to translate business concepts to technical terms. Understands and communicates company goals and objectives.
Define scope and priorities for developing, deploying and/or improving data management standards, policies, and processes enhancing the quality and completeness of the organization's data.
Work with the Data Governance Council and Data Owners across business units to oversee enforcement.
Define key risks for data management and ensure compliance with related policies, roles and responsibilities and standards.
Maintain overall accountability for the Company's Data Governance program, inclusive of communication, stakeholder involvement, metrics and reporting, working group activities, conveying business value recognized through governancefacilitated activities

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Experience in senior Data governance & Architecture positions, ideally based in a high paced and empowered environment
Handson experience in implementing an enterprise data governance program and Master Data Management (MDM) solution
Strong project leadership and management skills to lead organizational change to effectively meet strategic and tactical goals
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to present to a target audience
Must be detail orientated/articulate with strong time management and organizational skills
Proven management/supervisory experience
Experienced in Agile Project/Portfolio Management tools e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, etc.
Experienced using facilitation techniques, Design Thinking techniques, coaching and learning frameworks
Experienced in engineering practices like Continuous Integration and Continuous delivery
Experienced in multivendor delivery teams
Expertise in design and management of complex data structures and data processes
Expertise in metadata management, ETL processing, reference data management. Expertise in streaming and batching data processing and efficient and performing organization of data in devices set of data platforms.
Strong service architecture and development experience with high performance and scalability
Technical background in data with deep understanding of issues in multiple areas such as data acquisition and processing, data management, distributed processing, and high availability is required. Experience in statistics, data mining, machine learning and operational excellence of production systems is a plus.
Deep experience in:
SQL/noSQL technology. Familiar with Databases like Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, etc.
ETL, Data Warehousing, Metadata management, Data Governance
