Graduate Production Controller

We currently have opportunities for a Graduate Production Controller to join the business in summer 2023.

As a Graduate Production Controller, you will Assist the Factory Management Team to plan, co-ordinate and manage manufacturing processes within our specialist joinery facilities.


Main responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting the Production Team with the following tasks:
  • Management and control of manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production activities.
  • Consolidate production plans
  • Monitor budgets, cost to completion forecasts and variances
  • Monitor the overall resource capacity (personnel, material and equipment) for the Factory
  • Develop plans to improve quality, increase production capacity & maximise profitability.
  • Ensure production operatives work to consistent standards, meet delivery dates and quality requirements
  • R&D within Factory processes.
  • Responsibility for Factory preventative maintenance liaison with contractors and organise regular maintenance requirements with service engineers for upkeep of factory machines, officebased aircon and heating systems.
  • Provide evaluation, reports and commentary to the Factory Manager as requested.
  • Assist Factory Management to maintain harmonious employee relations, motivate employees, implement improvement strategies and reinforce Company practices and processes.
  • Effective liaison with Design, the Project Team. suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that potential problems are resolved efficiently and the manufacture process is not impeded.
  • Participate in the promotion of excellence, best practice and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with maintaining a high standard of safety throughout the Factory and that all relevant environmental and health & safety regulations and procedures are adhered to.
  • Provide a support function for the Production Management team.
  • Participate fully in all training and development activities and attend all related courses and other training as required by a participant of the Navigate Programme. Work diligently towards developing the skills, knowledge and expertise to progress to Production Controller or similar level.
  • Undertake any other duties and projects allocated, which are within the individual's sphere of Knowledge, experience or competency
