Responsibilities

As a Stores Person, you'll be working within the Highways Team, to manage the stores, including ordering, issuing, and maintaining stock materials; general depot maintenance and record keeping ensuring value for money in providing a quality service.

Your day to day will include:

Work closely with Works Manager and Supervisors when ordering equipment and materials for reactive repairs, projects, and schemes.
Liaise with the other Storekeepers when ordering stock to prevent overstock of items.
Ensure stores cover and training are in place for planned annual leave and handover processes are agreed upon with your line manager.

Who are we looking for?
This role of a Stores Person is great for you if you have:

Basic office IT skills
Basic appreciation of commercial awareness
Experience in premises management
A flexible approach to working and demonstrating experience of readily taking on new challenges and responsibilities.
