A bit about the role...


This is a unique opportunity to lead strategic delivery for an ambitious government agency reporting into the Chief Customer Officer.

As a member of the Chief Customer Officer's Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute, shape, participate and engage inthe successful delivery of the Homes England strategic direction, and the investment policies and business plan for the Agency.


Working with Ian Workman, Chief Customer Officer, you will play a critical role in helping to take forward the Agency's mission and strategic objectives.

Specifically relating to Help to Buy Mortgage Portfolio and Building Safety Programmes.

You will beleading our small, enthusiastic friendly experienced team to drive the effective operations of the investments Directorate including the management oversight of the Directorate admin budget on behalf of the Chief Customer Officer.


Ian believes in delivering customer centricity resolving operational issues informally wherever possible, taking an innovative and creative approach to challenge the status quo.

This is an opportunity to shape the future operations of the Customer Directorate in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose.

Working with senior leaders and key stakeholders across the Agency, you will ensure efficient, consistent,and effective delivery of a wider range of issues and have the opportunity to enhance the future operations and delivery ambitions of the Directorate.


The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects around core priorities such as our annual business planning, people, risk, financial and communications priorities.

There are some ambitious projects to get involved with and this isan excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions and your own creativity to the CIO Office offering.


A bit about you


Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.


You'll be comfortable supporting the Chief Customer Officer with complex issues to enable the smooth running of the CCO whilst delivering first class customer service.

As a recognised leader used to supporting leadership teams at a senior level, you willhave a high level of emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and management skills to drive and influence contributions from others across the Agency.

You will be highly organised and be able to demonstrate your ability to operate in a fast-changing dynamicenvironment.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing and influencing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operationalimpact of what we do as a Directorate.

You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.


As an experienced senior leader, you'll understand how to manage and develop colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
