Bell is recruiting a part-time Site Administrator to join our Bell St Albans site.


Bell St Albans is a 225-bed site offering full board accommodation for young people from around the world who come for 2-4 week stays to learn English and experience life in the UK.

In addition to running its own programmes, Bell leases out space to groupsin weeks when it is not running courses or has low numbers of bookings.


The Site Administrator will manage booking requests for non-Bell groups and assist them when they are on site, as well as assisting with some coordination of Bell's own courses.


The Site Administrator will work 22.5 hours per week and the role will involve some weekend work, especially when groups arrive and depart.

The post would suit someone who lives locally, or within 30 minutes of the site.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain an uptodate booking grid
  • Request payments and liaise with the finance team to check payments have been received
  • Welcome arrivals and show them around the site, completing a condition report
  • Carry out departure checks and submit a condition report
  • Liaise with maintenance staff regarding any issues with the building
  • Liaise with catering team regarding dietary requirements, menus and other requests for all groups on site
  • Arrange weekly linen changes and room turnarounds
  • Arrange for all laundry to be collected for washing and redistributed once returned
  • Help ensure all groups on site (Bell and nonBell) are satisfied with the condition and functioning of facilities
  • Maintain positive customer relations with all site users

Essential:

  • Experience working in a customer service and administrative role
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively
  • Organised and efficient
  • Calm and positive approach
  • Ability to forge good working relationships

Desirable:

  • Working with young adults from overseas
  • Experience of working in a safeguarding environment
  • Working in a role managing accommodation for students or within in the tourism industry
