    Trust Registrar in General Medicine (Gastro)

    The Role

    This is a Trust Registrar position in the General Medicine (Gastro) department at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

    We are seeking a qualified doctor to join our team of specialist Consultants and junior doctors in training.

    • Clinical Responsibilities:
    • Clerk and post take administration; writing in patients' notes
    • Undertake patient reviews
    • Investigating and initiating medical management
    • Patient assessment
    • Drug prescription
    • Discharge administration
    • Promptly update patient systems
    • Attend clinics
    • Attend Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings
    • Facilitate daily board round with MDT
    • Triage to medical teams/acute physicians as appropriate
    • Trouble shoot patients on the ward
    • Conduct ward rounds
    • Provide supervision and management to junior doctors
    • Take part in the medical on-call shift system
