Description

We're looking for a brilliant Artworker to join us at ry to help create and deliver high quality print, screen and online communications for complex projects, across multiple delivery channels.


The Production team at ry are responsible for the artwork, quality assurance and delivery of printed collateral from RY, as well as the creation of screen and interactive presentations, online publications, templates, brand and online assets, with a primary focus on corporate reporting.

Our goal is to be a valued, versatile and trusted team, which consistently delivers brilliant work for our clients, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.


Responsibilities include:

  • Creating, amending and producing accurate, technicallysound on and offline artwork and assets, utilising the most applicable software.
  • At the briefing stage, or during a task, ensuring full understanding the context of what is required and proactively querying any potential issues, or ask for extra information if needed, with the Project Manager, Proofreader or Designer.
  • Be regarded in the business as a 'Solution Provider': a 'go to' person within the department, providing expert technical advice and solutions (based on practical experience) to project managers, designers, consultants and colleagues in the Production team.
  • Contributing to Production process reviews to help develop and implement new and improved processes to make our offer more robust and efficient.
  • Ensuring all artwork requirements are completed accurately and on time, to meet deadlines, occasionally working a longer shift if the workload is particularly heavy.

Requirements:


  • Has a general understanding of the multiple outputs and the differing technical requirements of each channel in a multichannel project, and is mindful of how content is best organised to consider these multiple channels and devices they are consumed on.
  • Ideally has worked on digital and social media campaigns, with a working knowledge of HTML syntax and some proficiency with Sketch and Invision.
  • Has an expert level of competency in publishing software, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat (including interactive PDFs).
  • Has a strong teamwork ethic of communication, collaboration, selfmanagement and accountability.
  • Champions and adheres to defined Production processes, always looking to improve quality and efficiency wherever possible.
  • Is resourceful, versatile, highly organised, keeps calm and resilient under pressure, always finding a way to deliver.
