Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Park Lane practice and Phoenix surgery as our Digital and Transformation Lead.


This is a new role under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) to support increased access to care for patients, by supporting the adoption and/or optimisation of new technology and other initiatives to improve the care offer.


The post holder will enable practice staff to work more effectively to support the sustainability of general practice services; they will be self-motivated and will have the opportunity to offer leadership skills and guidance to colleagues in the PCN practices.


The post holder will be the first port of call in the provision of all aspects of IT (infrastructure, systems and software) support to practice staff across both practices, supporting the requirements set out in the NHS Long Term Plan, Five year framework for GP contract reform, PCN DES contract, Impact and Investment Fund and the Digital, Data and Technology Vision.

The post holder will work independently and will comply with the organisations policies and procedures.


The post holder will be instrumental in delivering on digital infrastructure and will also act as Project Lead to ensure contracts are delivered.

You will be required to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the PCN's digital infrastructure and business intelligence tools.

This role will be digital champion for the PCN practices.


Main duties of the job
Lead the development and implementation of digital transformation bids with a view to utilising the latest technology to improve patient services and maximise clinical efficiency

Lead the practices to design and implement a digital strategic vision and identify supporting objectives


Improve digital accessibility for patients by taking into consideration the digital maturity of the practices and its population health needs and health inequalities within the community.


Ensure all PCN contractual obligations of the Practices are structured in order that all reports and technical reporting are robust.

Support managment team to ensure CQC compliance is in place.

Demonstrate clear and concise management with Information Governance.

Lead and oversee management of all digital projects, evaluating their effectiveness.

Implement and maintain websites and social media platforms.

Procure and manage digital tools aligned with PCN practices strategy.

Design user guides and interactive tools aimed at our patients. Create data packs, audits and searches to support digital projects

Lead to build staff skills and capabilities, to also include digital advancements
