Job Title:
SEMH Learning Support Assistant/TEFL SEND
Location:
Hertfordshire
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing onetoone support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom
- Implementing behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH needs
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure effective support is in place for each student
- Supporting the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and risk assessments for students with SEMH needs
- Encouraging and promoting positive behaviours, attitudes and values in students with SEMH needs
- Supporting students with SEMH needs to develop their social and emotional skills, and to build resilience and selfesteem
- Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
- Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, ideally in a school setting
- Good understanding of SEMH needs and how to support students with these needs
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and how to implement them effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
- A genuine passion for education and supporting young people

£100.00-£120.00 per day
