Job Title:
SEMH Learning Support Assistant/TEFL SEND

Location:
Hertfordshire

Key Responsibilities:

Providing onetoone support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom
Implementing behaviour management strategies to support students with SEMH needs
Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure effective support is in place for each student
Supporting the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and risk assessments for students with SEMH needs
Encouraging and promoting positive behaviours, attitudes and values in students with SEMH needs
Supporting students with SEMH needs to develop their social and emotional skills, and to build resilience and selfesteem
Participating in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs, ideally in a school setting
Good understanding of SEMH needs and how to support students with these needs
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and how to implement them effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload
A genuine passion for education and supporting young people
