The Beam Education Trust is a Multi-Academy Trusts consisting of 3 primary schools and 1 infant and nursery school in and around the Lymm area of Cheshire.
Primary objectives:
To provide day-to-day support across the Central Finance team, supporting the smooth running of the Beam Trust.
Primary responsibilities:
Finance
To input purchase ledger transactions on behalf of schools across the Trust, comprising of:
- Purchase Orders
- Purchase Invoices
- Sales invoices
- Multipay Card Transactions
- Staff Reimbursements
- Support schoolbased finance staff as and when required.
The administration of the wraparound provision at the Schools when required including:
- Dealing with booking enquiries
- Raising invoices to parents
- Monitoring the Child Care Voucher payments
- Chasing overdue payments
- To record income onto the Trust's Financial Management System from Parent Pay
- To work with the Trust's Financial Policy and Procedures Manual ensuring compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook at all times.
- Support the Trust Business Manager and Chief Financial Officer with any other tasks as and when may be required to ensure the smooth running of the Central Finance team
- Support office teams if required.
Qualifications & Training:
- GCSE in English & Mathematics (Grade C or above)
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
- Further academic qualifications
- Knowledge of a school finance system
Experience:
- Able to use finance and software packages
- Experience of processing orders/invoices
- Proficient in using Google Drive, Microsoft Office Word/Excel
- Experience of working in a school office.
- Experience of working in a business
Skills:
- Excellent standard of written and spoken English, Maths & ICT
- Good communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
- Creative and proactive use of time both for self and others
- Proven efficiency, accuracy and effectiveness.
- Excellent word processing skills
- Experience in liaising with outside agencies
Knowledge:
- Good working knowledge of school office functions
- Attributes Evidence of working effectively as part of a team
- Positive attitude and sense of humour
- Able to represent the school positively, friendly and helpful to all visitors and parents
- Ability to work independently and to a high standard, maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Flexible attitude towards duties and others
- Contribute to wider aspects of school life
- Evidence of selfmotivation in career or personal interests

Key Information:
22 hrs Term Time +2 weeks (at least one week during summer holidays. Initially 3 days per week. Moving to full time 2024

Some travel may also be required across the Trust's Schools.
