This is an exciting opportunity for highly experienced addictions doctor to provide clinical leadership and be part of an innovative new development, the first of its kind not only within Glasgow City HSCP, but also in Scotland and the UK.The Safer Drug Consumption Facility will be based in Hunter Street Health and Social Care Centre in Glasgow, alongside a number of other services designed to meet the needs of a group of peop le with complex needs who find it difficult to engage with mainstream services.

The SDCF will provide a range of harm reduction interventions to people who inject drugs away from home, providing a safer, hygienic environment to inject drugs purchased on the street, where they will be afforded dignity
and respect.

People using the service will have access to a range of social and health interventions from clinical, social care and third sector staff.

The SDCF management team is open to interest in taking this post on a Part-time (minimum 6 sessions) and/or job
share basis.
