First Bus are looking for a Marketing Executive to help deliver the marketing activity and local marketing plan for the East of England


As our Marketing Executive, you will be an integral part of the marketing function, delivering end to end marketing campaigns and activity across the full marketing mix, as well as providing general marketing support to the local management team, where necessary.

You'll be joining a fantastic team, who's main aim is to work collaboratively in making First Bus the travel provider of choice

With our hybrid working model, you can be based in either our Norwich or Chelmsford depot.


What will you be doing?

  • Delivering marketing campaigns and coordinating new service launch events, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget
  • Managing online content across customer facing, digital channels
  • Assuming responsibility for all bus publicity material produced locally, including timetables, onbus material and other locally produced literature, ensuring marketing material is deployed and maintained in line with marketing plans
  • Ensuring that brand guidelines are adhered to by bus type and supporting an ongoing audit process to ensure consistency/uniformity across the fleet
  • Planning and delivering market research initiatives, in conjunction with central marketing teams, ensuring an uptodate insight from both user and nonuser views on First Bus
  • Managing the deployment local initiatives and campaigns to promote bus travel across the East of England
  • Providing general marketing and promotional support, sourcing and managing the inventory of promotional material for external events
  • Ensuring procurement and backoffice financial processes are followed in line with marketing spend

What are we looking for?

  • Past career experience of working in a marketing function or role
  • Experience of delivering integrated marketing campaigns with a track record of delivering commercial returns
  • Experience in copywriting
  • Experience of compiling complex media plans, including knowledge of digital media channels
  • Experience of using a CMS system to deliver web content
  • Experience of designing high quality, impactful marketing collateral to drive customer behaviour change
  • Project management skills
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and to tight deadlines
