About the role:
We are seeking an Administrator to provide high-quality administrative support to the Projects and Production Team.
This is an exciting and diverse opportunity and the role is key to the smooth running of the busy department.
You will focus on supporting the team to deliver the annual Edinburgh Science Festival 2024 as well as other projects the team is working on.
Focusing on project logistics and content preparation, you will take on aspects of procurement, print management, creating schedules, managing hired materials.
You will be a confident communicator, able to collect and synthesise data on production requirements from a wide variety of sources creating procurement lists and hire requirements.
You will also directly support the projects team with general administration and logistics including travel and itinerary management, managing meeting minutes and actions, developing agendas, coordinating deadlines and assisting with the administration of festival staffing.
About you:
- Proven organisation skills, including a meticulous attention to detail.
- Already be a skilled user of excel as a tool for data management.
- Skilled at managing a varied workload and balancing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to work and communicate professionally with a diverse range of internal staff and external suppliers/third parties, are a must.
- A flexible, can do approach, you will enjoy the mix of deskbased activity and the more hands on practical tasks.
- Previous experience of providing administrative support to events or production teams is desirable but not essential.
