We have an exciting opportunity to join the MAPS Rota Team, we are recruiting to 2 Rota Coordinator posts to provide comprehensive support to our medical staff across Medicine and Pharmacy Services (MAPS).

This is a fast-paced Job in a small supportive team that will give you an opportunity to work with colleagues across a range of specialties.

The role will involve maintaining accurate spreadsheets, managing medical staffing, monitoring clinics, and communicating with colleagues. You will work closely with medical and administration staff in Respiratory Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrine and Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

Please note we have one permanent full-time position and one 6 month secondment position.

To provide comprehensive support to the Senior Rota Coordinator and medical staff across MAPS. In particular managing medical staffing on a daily basis as well as working on Lorenzo and manging clinics.

The Medicine and Pharmacy Services (MAPS) Care Group is comprised of 4 clinical directorates:

  • Diabetes and Endocrinology
  • Gastroenterology and Hepatology
  • Respiratory Medicine
  • Pharmacy Services


All four directorates operate on the Northern and Central campus' although the acute admitting base for all of the specialties is at the Northern General Hospital.

The Care Group's total medical staffing budget is £14.5m and the specialties have 9 acute base wards at the Northern General Hospital and one acute and one elective base ward at the Central Campus.

Outpatient services operate on both campus' and are supported by the Patient Booking Hub at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
