As a Fire Safety Procedure and Policy Coordinator in our Protection department you will:
- Research, write, implement and maintain effective procedures in line with service vision and legislative or best practice guidance appropriate to the protection function
- Review and evaluate protection procedures in line with national legislation
- To be responsible for the Quality Assurance of Protection Processes and Professional Standards/Code of Ethics of Fire Safety Inspectors
What makes you our ideal Fire Safety Procedure and Policy Coordinator?
- Hold a level 4 Certificate (or equivalent) in Fire Safety having followed the NFCC competency framework and be willing to achieve the Level 4 Diploma
- Hold demonstrable working experience gained within a technical and regulatory fire safety role, working with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order (2005)
- Hold the Assessing Competence in the Work Environment or be willing to achieve this within 12 months of commencement in role
- Experience of proving advice and guidance in relation to data analysis to improve performance
Please note:
This role is open to current staff members of Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service ONLY.
Other Information:
- You must have a full current driving licence. Use of your own vehicle will be required, however a Service vehicle may be available.
- The role has a occasional travel requirement across the Service Area to support the Protection Department.
- The role involves some evening and weekend working.
- A Basic Disclosure & Barring Service Check (DBS) clearance will be undertaken on the successful individual prior to offer of employment
