THE ROLE

Primary Responsibilities:

Clean all surfaces, fixtures and fittings in your designated area and building to the agreed specification
Clean toilets, changing rooms and other sanitary areas
Clean equipment after use
Undertake special cleaning programmes during school closure or other designated periods in compliance with the specification for the premises
Ensure safe use by self and others of equipment and materials.

Key Tasks:

Disposal of waste
Collect and bag up waste
Remove waste to the designated external bins
Restocking and replenishment
Refill and replace consumables
Maintain and arrange orderly and secure storage of supplies
Ensure cleanliness of equipment, check for quality and safety reporting any faults to an appropriate senior person

Other duties

Report faulty equipment & other maintenance requirements to appropriate person
Ensure lights and other equipment are switched off as appropriate
Maintain the security of school premises by securing entrances/exits as appropriate and reporting potential security breaches

Essential Criteria:

Previous experience is desirable

Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions
Able to be flexible to changing demands
Able to prioritise work and work in an organised manner
Able to take pride in their work
