As a SEND Support Worker at RJ4All, you will play a vital role in providing assistance to young individuals participating in our resilience-building Youth Clubs+ during half term and holidays.
The RJ4All Youth Clubs consist of structured activities including sports, cultural trips, arts and crafts, cooking sessions, and our resilience-building workshops.
In this position, you will actively engage with young people with special education needs and difficulties such as social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH), speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) including Autism, and Specific Learning Difficulites (SpLD).
Your responsibilities extend to offering one-to-one support, ensuring the physical, social, and emotional welfare of each child, and fostering children's growth, self-esteem, and independence.
Your role as a SEND Support Worker contributes significantly to the overall success of the Youth Clubs+ program, making a positive impact on the lives of young people with diverse needs.
This role offers an hourly rate of £15 p/hr. The position is on an ad-hoc basis with the first dates as the 8th and 9th of April. The working hours are from 10:30am-4:00pm.-
Key tasks _
To support young people with SEND attending RJ4All Youth Clubs+.
To promote positive behaviour and support children's personal, social and emotional development.
To foster children's growth, self-esteem and independence.
Provide feedback on the supported young people to the team during daily debriefs.
To develop and maintain positive relationships with young people attending youth club+.
To attend relevant training in order to fulfil the requirements of the job (e.g Autism Awareness Training)

Qualifications:_
- A qualification in relation to education and/or working with children, families, or vulnerable individuals
- Autism-Awareness Training
- Experience working with young people with SEND in a paid or voluntary capacity.
- Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection legislation and practice
- A good understanding of SEND and disabilities/learning difficulties
- Takes a nonjudgmental approach to their work
- The ability to communicate with a wide range of people including young people, staff and volunteers
You must already hold an enhanced DBS ready to work with children and vulnerable young people _
