We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual that will help shape this service. As an innovative Pharmacy Department continually expanding our services we are looking to expand our qualified pharmacy technician workforce.


You will be part of an expanding team of highly professional staff, working predominantly in our ED, Acute Medical Unit, our first of its kind SDEC.


Applicants should possess NVQ level 3 or equivalent, a BTEC national certificate, be registered with the GPhC and have current hospital experience.

This is post offers a structured training programme.


Hours of work will be 7.5hrs on a Thursday and Friday 8: pm and late nights on a rota basis, late night hours will be 11:00 - 7:30 pm.

The post holder will be required to participate on weekends/bank holiday working on a rota basis to support a seven-day service.

The post holder will primarily be working at ward level providing a pharmacy service to include:
Assessment of Patient's Own Drugs (PODs)

Medicines Reconciliation

Supply

Discharge

Counselling

Training, supervising and coordinating the work of band 4 rotational pharmacy technicians, ATOs, students and support staff at ward level

A full and comprehensive training package will be provided.

The post-holder will participate in our late night, weekend and bank holiday rotas.

Technicians may be asked to provide support on any of the Trust sites.
