We have an excellent opportunity to join an International Law firm (based in the heart of London) to work as a Client Engagement Assistant.
This role will primarily provide support and administrative assistance to the Central Services Team which supports clients and fee earners across the firms offices internationally.
Role Overview
This is an entry level Junior role, highly suited to an A' Level school leaver, looking to develop their administration and client facing skills within a legal environment.
You will be required to provide support to designated partners in the team, assisting in new client and matter openings, Conflicts, Anti Money Laundering and managing timesheet processing including monitoring time records and liaising with partners and clients with regards billing and collections.
For this position it is really important for the individual to have a grade 5 or above in Maths as attention to detail and accuracy is really important in the role.
Role Duties will include
Opening new Clients and Matters for the London team, ensuring matters are set up with the correct rates agreed with clients.
Liaise with the New Business team and Compliance teams to submit New Business Requests, arrange conflict checks and obtain anti money laundering documentation as required.
Set up fee alerts at matter level.
Conduct ongoing monitoring of all matters for designated partners to prompt billing and to ensure residual WIP is written off on completion of the matter as appropriate.
Create and distribute weekly WIP updates to clients when requested.
Prepare bills in accordance with the firm's billing policies, ensuring the bills are posted to the system, signed by the Partner and sent out to the clients each month.
Liaise with clients regarding Accounts Receivables on a monthly basis to ensure invoices have been received
Undertaking any ad-hoc project work as required.
Requirements for the role
A-levels or equivalent;
GCSE Maths grade 5 or above
Previous experience working in the Accounts department of a Legal or other Professional Services Firm highly desiarable but not essential
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build successful working relationships with all levels of personnel. Strong written skills and excellent attention to detail. Organisation skills.
This is a permanent position, hours of work are Monday to Friday 9.30am-5.30pm you will be required to work in the office 3 days a week with flexibility to work from home 3 days per week.
The role will suit someone with some experience working in the accounts department of a professional services firm, who would like to further develop their knowledge and experience of a firm's revenue cycle, from client onboarding through to cash collection.
You must possess a flexible and positive working attitude, be proactive and a team-player and be able to work well under pressure in a calm manner.
