KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


The Warehouse Operator is responsible for taking delivery of stock for sorting and storing, through to picking &kitting for Production Works Orders.

Responsibilities also include preparing and packing items for despatch for customer shipments and supplier returns.

  • Orchestrate warehouse aspects of the ERP system and warehouse processes to ensure goods are receipted and despatched appropriately and that productivity targets are met.
  • Responsible for the Kitting of Works Orders for the Production Supervisor and ensure physical Kanban activities are coordinated in line with the Warehouse Manager.
  • Support the process for shipment loading & unloading and handling daytoday operations for the warehouse
  • Maintenance of the Warehouse for a clean, tidy and H&S environment, in line with IOSH.
  • Support the goods receipt and inspection process for direct and indirect materials.
  • Working closely with Production Supervisor & Warehouse Manager to support stock requirements, fulfilments & replenishments, in line with business demands.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager with stock maintenance and location management in line with Production requirements and nonProduction stock.
  • Regular maintenance of all stock locations and support FIFO stock control methodologies
  • Support the Inspection and 'first off' sample process before parts are transferred for Production use.
  • Processing nonconformance reporting and resolution within supply chain in accordance with the company
  • Quality Management System
  • Regular maintenance of ERP system in ensuring stores data is accurate & all business processes are followed in line with the Warehouse Manager
  • Support with monthly/ quarterly and annual stock checks in line with Finance/ Supply Chain requirements.
  • Conduct inspections of delivered parts to ensure quality conformance is met in line with specifications.
  • Support the Warehouse Manager with identification and rectification of slow moving stock
  • Support the maintenance and upkeep of equipment used in the warehouse
  • Support with all logistics paperwork requirements for every shipment where required.
  • Safe working practices within the warehouse
  • Flexibility may be required to assist with Production Operative related activities.
  • Flexibility in working hours required to support receipt and logistics arrangements.
