Assistant Buyer
The Company
Bri-Stor Systems Ltd, part of The HEX Group, are the UK's largest converter of lightweight commercial vehicles. We are a privately-owned business employing approximately 240 people and have been operating for over 35 years.
With a strong order book and forecast Bri-Stor Systems are looking to strengthen our purchasing team with the recruitment of an Assistant Buyer.
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Raising purchase orders for all areas of the business
- Expediting open purchase orders to ensure delivery is on time and in full
- Negotiating better pricing with existing suppliers
- Produce reports as required
- Cost saving initiatives including finding alternative suppliers, without compromising on quality and in line with purchasing policy.
- Maintain and build relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Assisting the accounts department to resolve any invoice queries before month end
- Attend various meetings to review and discuss upcoming projects and how the purchasing department can support.
