Trainee Machine Operator

JJLee was founded in 1870 making us one of the longest established carton printers in the country and one of the only companies in the South West who can supply full design to delivery services in house.

We currently have a vacancy for a Trainee Machine Operator and are looking for a dedicated, hardworking individual who will fit seamlessly into our experienced team of printers and finishers.

Key skills and previous experience are a great addition, but more important is the right attitude and a team player, as all key skills can be taught.

Shift Hours

Monday

Friday 8 hours:_

6am - 2.30pm

There will be an initial training period where pay will start at £10.50 per hour, this will be increased once training is complete. The length of this period will be dependent on the individual.

Responsibilities include:

Working cohesively with both management and other machine operators to ensure production targets are met.
Efficient changeover between jobs to ensure mínimal time is lost.
The accurate and timely completion of all production and safety documents.
Ensuring both quality and quantity is correct and maintained.
Basic machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure hygiene and health and safety is maintained.

Good verbal communication skills.
Evidence of good work commitment.
Practical ability with an eye for mechanics.
A proactive outlook, while both being able to work on your own initiative and with others.
Good time management.
