Salary:
£38,309 FTE per annum**
35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year


Hull College is hiring an Assistant Head of Electrical Installation with teaching and experience in Electrical Installation at intermediate and advanced levels.

This exciting role presents a fantastic opportunity to join the college at a pivotal time. It involves workshop and classroom teaching, curriculum development, and supporting the Head of Department.

This role is an ideal opportunity for somebody who is looking to develop their leadership skills and progress into college management.

Responsibilities of our
Assistant Head of Electrical Installation:

  • Promote the College's vision and mission and strategic objectives and to promote behaviours which underpin them.
  • Contribute to the colleges curriculum development process which includes preparing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing new programmes and resources.
  • Monitoring and analysing student data to identify areas for improvement and working with staff to implement interventions and strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Implementing and monitoring the colleges policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice.
  • Implementing and monitoring the colleges high ambitions for excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Contribute to the quality of learning activities, ensuring that they meet College quality standards and result in improving student success rates.
  • Lead on crosscutting themes such as student engagement, progression, assessment and IQA processes.

  • Significant experience of delivering good teaching and leading in further education
  • Experience of leading on crosscutting themes such as student engagement, progress, assessment and IQA processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyse data and use it to drive improvements
  • Strong organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
