PROJECT MANAGER
To effectively manage and implement projects within TruTac.

To deal professionally and effectively with all those involved in projects from the inception through to completion and helping the customer through the transition to 'business as usual 'includingassisting in realising the benefits.

The Project Manager will likely be involved in managing a collection of related projects from a programme perspective.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the project scope has been defined and signed off by all parties before the project can be initiated
  • Create and agree a Project Communication plan to the Trutac standard.
  • Agree the project change control procedure.
  • Create and maintain a project schedule and plan for the delivery of the project and record commitments made to the customer. To keep records of changes made to plans, with supporting agreements, and rebaseline of the plan if appropriate.
  • Define the key milestones and deliverables used to measure project progress. Secure resource and gain commitment from all parties to achieve the milestones.
  • Work with the customer to develop a benefits plan and help them through the early stages of recognising the benefits to their business from the TruTac solution.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for completing the project according to the project plan with attention to business and technical integrity.
  • Manage any items requested that are outside the agreed scope of the project through the agreed change control procedure.
  • Be responsible for project communications in line with the agreed Communication Plan, producing regular project highlight reports to the appropriate Management structure.
  • Manage your projects using TruTac standard processes inclusive of planning, risk management; issue management and change management.
  • Gauge the need for timely escalation of issues and any changes having a significant impact on the project.
  • Maintain regular contact with the customer acting as a conduit for information, capturing and measuring customer feedback on a regular basis.
  • Ensure good product and market knowledge on a continuous and proactive basis.
  • Learn from past project successes and failings and conduct post project reviews to ensure continuation of best practices.
  • Take a proactive role in assisting the customer to prepare for implementation, inclusive of providing workshops with the customer pre and post installation.
  • Take a proactive role in assisting the customer during implementation to achieve the required level of operational activity. This can include problem diagnosis; identifying and implementing work around solutions; communicating and coordinating with developmentfor any software fixes; post implementation workshops.
  • Ensure projects are successfully transitioned into BAU.
  • Be accountable for financial aspects of projects, managing and tracking mantime forecasts, profit and loss and raising invoicing against the project. To work with the customer in ensuring the invoicing schedule is met.

Technical Ability:


  • SQL
  • Basic understanding of relational databases
  • Ability to understand technical data flows
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Prince2 Practitioner

Areas of knowledge:


  • Experience of managing complex and large projects.
  • Experience of managing a collection of projects (i.e. programme).
  • Knowledge of business environments and working practices
  • IT background with knowledge of logistics and or mobile worker terminology


The successful applicant will be an outstanding communicator with the ability to converse with individuals at all levels within the business.

You will be used to working to tight deadlines and cope well under pressure. Furthermore, you will be confidentin presenting findings and do so to an impeccable standard.
