Commutable from:
Norfolk, Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Ipswich, Kings Lynn.

Salary:
£ 65,000 to £ 85,000 p.a. + benefits

Suitable for:
Development Manager, Test & Development Manager, Test Centre Manager, Test Manager, Senior Development Manager.

The Role
Ensure that all work is carried out with safety as the priority at all times

Work in partnership with Programme & Engineering teams to develop and deliver the appropriate test programme and test procedures to fully validate the product

Ensure all tests are carried out and results are fully reviewed with the appropriate team members

With the support of the Engineering Director develop a short-, medium
- & long-term test strategy

Work with partners to develop relationships with external test partners already involved with the programme

Work with the Manufacturing Director to develop the End of Line testing facility

Manage all testing aspects of the New Product Introduction

Manage functional test capacity, expansion planning and execution


To ensure all assembly checklists are completed as required during the assembly process, ensuring that they are an accurate record of the work carried out.

Work with relevant suppliers to ensure the test schedule is validated and completed in line with programme lead times.

Travel to other facilities or customers as required

The Person

Proven experience in a management / leadership position with site responsibility (Preferably in test and development)

Previous OEM and automotive experience preferred.

Experience with regulatory requirements preferred.

Powertrain development experience

Demonstrable experience of managing similar development programmes, including proactively managing external supplier resource.


Ideally has also worked in a Small, Medium Enterprise (SME) and is able to demonstrate the ability to 'roll their sleeves up' and personally get things done as part of a small team.

High level of oral and written communication skills.
