Head of Service Design.
My client is on the market looking for an experienced Head of Service Design who will be responsible for leading transformative initiatives within IT Service Management. As Head of Service Design you will play a pivotal part in overseeing the Service Design, Transition, and assurance processes within the IT Service Management Team. You will lead a team of skilled professionals in Design and Transition, orchestrating the seamless transition of all new and changed IT solutions, ensuring alignment with technical and service standards. Your role is crucial in ensuring that IT solutions that are fit for purpose, supportable, and maintainable, guaranteeing enduring excellence in service delivery. The Head of Design and Transition is accountable for the optimal performance of both the Service Design and Transition and IT Change Management functions

Essential

Proven experience in Service Design and Transition and Change Management.
Familiarity with IT service management tools and technologies.
ITIL 3/4 certification.
Service design and transition.
In depth understanding of the principles and methodologies associated with service design and transition best practices.
Operations management: Methods, techniques and tools for planning, organising, resourcing, directing, coordinating and monitoring ongoing (nonproject) activities
Strong Stakeholder engagement experience.
Project planning and control techniques
Quality management including quality planning, assurance and control.
Experience with Value chain concepts
