We have a fantastic opportunity based in Eastbourne for a forward thinking, highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager.

The role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse function ensuring that the appropriate resources, people and equipment are in place at the right time and day to day issues are managed.

The Warehouse Manager will be lookingat the activities that day, week, and at least four weeks ahead to ensure everything is in place to manage the day-to-day operation and ensure optimum efficiency across the warehouse function.

Additional duties will include:

Carrying out a daily sense check in respect of health & safety for the team including capacity of cages highlighting areas of concern to the management team and hosting regular H&S forums with warehouse team
Carrying out daily team meetings to align the team with business requirements and changes, with an 'all heard, all answered approach' to questions from the team
Working with the other members of the management team to ensure sufficient people resources are in place to include a blend of permanent and fixed term staff
Being responsible for continuous improvement and ensuring significant, sustained, and continuous improvement in the management of the Warehouse Operatives and Samples teams

What we are looking for:

Experienced people leader supported by demonstrable experience
Customer service experience
Experience of working with technology & stock management
Experience of working in an environment that is on a change journey
Experience in Continuous Improvement projects and or Change Management experience
Experienced in working with commercial targets and managing costs
An awareness of Health & Safety requirements preferably in a Warehouse Environment
