We are currently looking for a Vehicle Fitter to work in our Paint Shop Area, Re-building our tankers after the painting process has been completed.


What you will be doing:


  • Working in a team environment to complete various parts of the paint process
  • Re-Assembly of tanker components after they have been painted using hand tools and power tools to fasten fit and secure components ready for the next part of the production process
  • Do small, localised repairs to the paint work.
  • Work to standard operating procedures and engineering data sheets to complete subassemblies
  • Use of plant machinery including forklift truck and overhead crane to fit components to chassis and tank body.
  • Other parts of the process including chassis and component preparation and build strip down will be part of this role
  • Opportunities to expand the role to cover shot blasting, vehicle strip down and steam cleaning operations.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A positive attitude to problem solving
  • A good general handson assembler / fitter that has the experience to be able to learn & improve the current process we already have.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing build environment
  • Ability to use a range of hand and power/pneumatic tools
  • Ability to understand work instructions / SOPs to assemble components for our different tankers
