Oxfam is a global movement of people working together to end the injustice of poverty.

We are looking for a HR Advisor at a pivotal time for the organisation. This is a
6 months' fixed term contract.

What you'll be doing:


In this role, you will be supporting a wide range of HR projects, and will also provide comprehensive and robust first line HR advice to Line Managers, and staff in service of our vision to build and nurture a diverse, inclusive workforce who can deliver our goals to fight poverty and inequality around the world.


You'll have:


  • Experience of supporting HR projects
  • Experience of providing first line HR advice to line managers and staff on a range of employment related issues
  • Experience of problem solving with stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of UK employment legislation
  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of organisational ER policies including conduct, capability, grievance and sickness, with the ability to interpret and convey these to stakeholders
  • Experience of working with HR data and using it to proactively spot trends
