Job Introduction

A rewarding opportunity for caring and empathetic Care Assistants to join one of our three care teams in supported housing for older people across Milton Keynes.


All three schemes provide personal care and support to tenants living in their own flats as well as sharing communal and outside facilities.

Flowers House (Bletchley) and Courteneys Lodge (Furzton) support tenants living with dementia whilst Kilkenny house (Westcoft) supports those who are frail or have physical disabilities.


You'll join friendly and supportive teams who ensure tenants live as independently as possible as well as providing activities and promoting links to community groups.

We have a number of daytime shift patterns across weekdays and weekends available.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support, as detailed in care plans, encouraging individuals to maintain independence where possible.
  • Support tenants to participate in activities within the scheme and in the community.
  • Communicate, verbally and in writing, with colleagues in relation to any concerns or risks that may be identified.
  • Complete all mandatory training as well as any additional training that may be provided.
  • Ability to work flexibly with colleagues to ensure the highest standard of support is provided.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to confidently share information, both verbally, in writing and in clear English.
  • Demonstrate a caring and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to work on their own as well as part of a team and be able to respond to the changing priorities of the service.
  • Enhanced DBS will be required prior to starting should you be successful

Our roles are either designated 'site based' or 'home based'.
