This well-established professional services organisation based in the centre of Guildford are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team.

You will be joining a growing organisation that has a brilliant market reputation and offers great career development.

Furthermore, this role will be offered on a hybrid working scheme with a minimum of 2 days required in the office and is offered on a 1 year contract with a possibility of becoming permanent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 12 months experience in a finance position who is looking to take the next step in their career.


Finance Assistant - About The Role:

In this role you will be working within a finance team of 14 and will be reporting into the Finance Supervisor.

You will be required to assist with the daily running of the finance function and your key responsibilities will be:


  • Logging incoming cheques and preparing paperwork for banking.
  • Processing cheques for both office and client bank accounts.
  • Processing invoices and client bank statements.
  • Monitoring bank transactions and posting transactions to the bank account and matter ledgers.
  • Daily bank reconciliations and processing company card expenses.
  • Registering/chasing VAT invoices.
  • General adhoc support to various departments.

The successful Finance Assistant will have:

  • Previous experience in a finance position.
  • Experience in a professional services organisation is desirable
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Strong IT & Excel skills
