Service Now Senior Developer

As a Barclays Service Now Senior Developer this is an exciting opportunity where you will be joining HR Technology team within Functions technology area.

In your new role, you will be leading development initiatives (including leadership of other developers) within part of a team of developers within the Digital workstream of the Colleague Onboarding programme.

The workstream is delivering a strategic roadmap of enhancements to two digital platforms created to provide a world class onboarding experience to new joiners.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring that the Product Backlog is defined with Stories that are visible, transparent, and clear to all, and shows what the Development Team will work on next
Demonstrating the configured functionality to stakeholders at the end of each Sprint
Participating in configuration/unit and useracceptance testing, which may require up to 100% of individual(s) time during these key events
Approving the release of the product into production after testing is complete, in partnership with the Platform Owner
Providing leadership and oversight to other Developers, ensures team alignment to business strategy and the ServiceNow roadmap
Being involved in the overarching governance of the platform
Supporting and providing architectural and design oversight to ensure all solutions are fit for purpose and use
Designing /Building technical solutions based on client's needs and process requirements and Delivering solutions using Agile software development processes

What we're looking for:

Exposure to the key modules in ServiceNow is required: ServiceNow HR Service Delivery Enterprise (including Knowledge, Employee Service Centre, Case management)
ServiceNow web services experience and APIs and Expert in JavaScript
Significant Experience with Workflow Configuration and Working knowledge of relational databases
Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc

Skills that will help you in the role:

Working experience and understanding in ServiceNow Service (Request) Catalog
Ability to interface and develop with Java/J2EE backend technologies
Significant understanding of Effective Directory, LDAP, SSO
