Your New Role
Survitec now has an exciting opportunity to bring on board a Supply Planner at our Grimsby Offices on a permanent basis
Reporting to our Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager, you will manage the purchasing and inventory for finished goods for our Survival One (Marine) business
You will deliver supply planning expertise for a significant area of the Survitec business. This role delivers an evolving supply plan to meet customer service requirements, within appropriate inventory and working capital levels.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Develop and deliver an ongoing supply plan for a significant region within Survitec for use by internal and external thirdparty suppliers, in line with appropriate planning and modelling approach and toolkit
- Develop, run and evaluate supply strategy simulations to define and propose best stocking policy to meet customer requirements within inventory targets
- Communicate regularly and in a timely manner relevant information into the sales and operational performance process and to relevant suppliers (internal and third party)
- Generate regular and timely trend analyses, insights and business recommendations, feeding these into the local sales and operational planning process to drive optimum availability
- Carry out regular and timely risk assessment for the demand and supply planning function; identify, manage, and mitigate demand related business risk effectively and appropriately
- Monitor, review, and highlight any gaps in the performance of a portfolio of suppliers; recommend improvements by suppliers to better meet demand requirements; make recommendations to the business to support effective contract negotiation or change contract/supplier
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
- Experience of importing and clearing goods through customs
- 2+ years in a purchasing/supply planning role
- Great communicator and team player
- Analytical thinker
- Advanced excel skills
