We are able to offer an exciting opportunity for an individual who meets the job specification to join our team of Student Education Facilitators who are working across the Trust.

Applicants must have a keen interest in developing others, assisting students and those who support students in practice.


The role is Essex wide which will require the successful applicant to work using mobile technology, with the ability to travel across all trust sites, working with staff at all levels and backgrounds internally and externally to the Trust.


The Student Education Facilitator Role is designed to enhance the quality of the learning experience and positively contribute to the future development in the way we deliver and support students and educators across the organisation.


The successful applicants will work as part of the dynamic Workforce Education and Training Service to enhance the development and growth of our educational programs across the organisation.

The opportunity for secondment can be considered for this post with agreement from the individual's service manager.

The Student Education Facilitator Role is designed to influence the quality of the clinical learning environment by providing support to the practice based practice supervisors and practice assessors & teachers.

The role aims to enhance the quality of the practice learning experience by providing additional opportunities for skills development within the practice environment.


The role will positively contribute to the future development of the learning environments by providing feedback, and a conduit for information between the central workforce team and practice areas.

The facilitators will work with students across all disciplines on all clinical (non-medical) courses offered within the Trust.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that the student experience supports the highest standard of learning
  • Provide support to staff actively engaged with the development of students across the Trust
  • Look at assisting teams to meet student's objectives by using new and innovative approaches within the practice environments.
  • Assist senior staff to carry out changes identified to enhance the quality of the learning environment, ensuring that the educational and development needs of all students are addressed and supported effectively within the practice environment.
  • Work with practice teams to develop the number and quality of the practice placement.
  • Ensure that the standards and values required for learning, development and assessment are embedded and maintained into everyday clinical practice.
  • Work across professional boundaries to ensure that all students within the Trust receive the best possible education experience.
  • Ensure the learning environment meets the standards for a Trust student placement.
  • Deliver effective clinical risk and clinical skills training to students. Provide updates to staff within the learning environment if required.
  • Support action plans within educational audits.
