We are an accountancy practice with a team of 10. We've been established for over 30 years and are starting out on an exciting growth phase. Being a firm in general accountancy practice, we look after the finance needs for businesses across many different sectors.


Working for this small, friendly, and well-established team you will be supporting a number of businesses with their payroll, offering them the highest possible service at all times.

We pride ourselves on the long-lasting relationships we have built with our clients and this will be maintained by yourself and the wider team.


Job description

  • Responsible for the management of the client's payroll
  • Produce weekly and monthly payroll for various clients; including RTI submissions to HMRC, processing of Year-End information, reconciliations, payslip generation
  • Calculating holidays, statutory payments, redundancy
  • Dealing with statutory legislation including Auto Enrolment, SSP, SMP, P45's, P60's and Tax coding.
  • Dealing with both internal and external liaison with updates to clients, team members, pension providers, and queries with the HMRC
  • Pension submissions primarily using NEST
  • Always ensure full compliance

Requirements of the Payroll Senior

  • Will be up to date with all payroll procedures including PAYE, RTI, Auto enrolment and statutory calculations etc.
  • Knowledge of CIS would be beneficial but not essential
  • BACS payments desirable
  • The essential requirement of this role is previous experience working for multiple clients on Sage 50 payroll.
