Proclinical is actively seeking
Associate Director Supply Chain Planning to join our clients team in Runcorn.


Primary Objective:

The primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate, schedule, and oversee end-to-end planning for Sterile operations.

This involves ensuring exceptional planning standards, high adherence to demand, production, and supply requirements, encompassing:


  • Material and packaging component procurement to align with manufacturing and packing schedules while optimizing inventory management.
  • Artwork variations to meet market demands.
  • Developing comprehensive endtoend plans from customer demand through packaging and production, integrating associated Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Executing release and shipping plans from Runcorn to achieve On-TimeIn-Full (OTIF) and Customer Service Level (CSL) targets.

Key Areas of Accountability:


Planning:


  • Forecasting business capacity to meet commercial market demand, development projects, and compliance obligations over a 24month period through robust modeling.
  • Balancing site workload through Multi-Level Time-Phased (MLTP) planning.
  • Monthly alignment of manufacturing and packing plans, accommodating supplier constraints, site work center capacities, and project requirements.
  • Integration of all site activities into the Global Supply Chain (GSC) monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle.
  • Implementing pull planning systems to optimize inventory management and maintain cycle times.
  • Maintaining accuracy and updates of planning parameters impacting operations and supply, including routings, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and lead times.

Customer Service:


  • Ensuring manufacturing and packing plans meet OTIF and CSL targets, identifying constraints and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Providing accurate manufacturing, packaging, and supply data in SAP for transparent Control Tower views.
  • Timely communication of supply status and risks to market customers, ensuring continuous updates on progress.
  • Efficient coordination of postpackaging activities to expedite time to market and meet OTIF and CSL goals.

Cost Management:


  • Managing site inventory and goods receipt performance, providing monthly analysis and yearend projections.
  • Monitoring departmental budgets against Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Latest Best Estimates (LBE).

People Management:


  • Setting clear goals and development plans for direct reports.
  • Succession planning for direct reports.
  • Achieving goals outlined in the annual performance review cycle.
  • Driving continuous improvement in team Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) scores.

Key Performance Indicators:


  • Adherence to demand, manufacturing, packaging, and supply plans.
  • OTIF and CSL performance.
  • Achieving 50% SKU Service Level (SSL) targets.
  • Goods receipt performance.
  • Inventory management performance.
  • OHS scores.

Key Stakeholders:


  • Reports to Head of Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Collaborates with various stakeholders including SC Project Managers, Process Engineering Managers, Planning Managers, and QA Managers.
  • Manages direct reports comprising Materials Planning Team Leader, Production Planners, Customer Service Lead, Supply Process Specialist, and Supply Chain Analyst.

Decision-Making Authority:


  • Prioritizing manufacturing, packing, release, and shipping plans to meet customer service and inventory targets.
  • Balancing safety stock with goods receipt and inventory targets.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Ideally holds a degree in a business or supply chainrelated field, or possesses extensive planning experience.
  • Demonstrates leadership experience in a production environment, preferably within pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or food industries.
  • Experienced in change management and continuous improvement methodologies.

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£30.00-£50.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 37.5 per week
