General Maintenance Operative - Scrap Operations Department, Runtech Ltd, Port Talbot & South Wales


We have a great opportunity for an experienced and motivated General Maintenance Operative here at Runtech, based at our Scrap Operations Department, primarily based in Port Talbot but occasionally elsewhere.

Key attributes:


  • Flexible and adaptable attitude showing a willingness to succeed
  • Carpentry or general maintenance experience
  • Demonstrating a positive and motivated attitude
  • Experience in a scrap processing or heavy industrial environment
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Comply with Health & Safety procedure
  • Desire to learn new skills and train on various items of plant in line with the needs of the business

Qualifications required:


  • Full and clean UK Driving Licence
  • Fork Lift Truck experience (desirable)
  • Telehandler experience (desirable)
  • Excavator experience (desirable)
  • Burning/scrap processing experience (desirable)

Package:


  • 40 Hours per Week Monday Friday
  • Overtime required in line customer demands
  • Rate of pay from £10.50 per hour plus overtime dependent upon experience
  • Auto enrolled onto the company pension scheme
  • Uniform and PPE Provided
  • 28 days holiday per year inclusive of Bank holidays

Full-time, Permanent

From £10.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Port Talbot: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- burning/scrap processing: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • CCNSG Safety Passport (preferred)
