Optometrist / Primary Care Liaison Officer

Full time permanent role - Mainly field based visiting opticians and GP's - One day a fortnight working from the office in East Grinstead

Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week


Due to unique and rural office workplace (East Grinstead area) it is essential to be a driver and have your own transport.

Plenty of free parking available on site


Salary:
£38000-£40000 per year plus very good company benefits plus uncapped commission - likely to be around £10000 per year but could be higher (uncapped)


We are delighted to be working alongside our private medical based client as they seek to recruit a Optometrist / Primary Care Liaison Officer to join their friendly, established and busy team.

This role will be largely field based with some travel to clinics in London, Surrey and East Grinstead.

As Optometrist/Primary Care Liaison Officer, your day-to-day role will entail:
Building relationships between the company - optometrists, general practice, and the wider medical community

Work closely to understand and support their needs and processes

Work in tandem with consultants to establish their referral networks, develop and implement a targeted growth strategy

Maintain and update customer databases

Organisation of events with specific Optometrist days at company clinics

Perform miscellaneous job-related functions and ad-hoc projects as required


To be considered for the role you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Experience in a GP liaison, optometrist or pharmaceutical sales role

An understanding of the medical community - in particular general practice

Ability to research, develop and execute a targeted growth strategy

Demonstrated success in past roles

Experience using a client relationship management system or similar

Competent IT skills in particular Microsoft Office suite

Strong organisational and reporting skills

Full UK Driving licence

This role would ideally suit a GP Liaison Officer who has worked in the private sector

Face-to-face account management experience would also be a plus.
