Description
Our client is an an artisanal stone oven bakery from Scandenavia. What they do is simple, but far from the ordinary. They use fresh, natural ingredients and traditional methods to make artisanal pastries and sourdough bread.

After a success of opening 20shops since 2008 back home in Stockholm, they have been captivating London's hearts with their bread and cinnamon buns.

Our client now have 5 shops in London, and 1 in New York. They are currently looking to recruit a Baker to join their team. This is a FullTime, Permanent appointment. The role is mainly carrying out night shifts, with the odd day shift required.

Job description

  • Prepare doughs, fillings, batters, icings and other components by measuring or weighing ingredients using graduated containers or scales to ensure uniformity.
  • Use tools such as hand mixers, electric mixers and cooking machinery to blend together ingredients to create highquality baked goods.
  • Prepare and bake doughs in ovens, using molds, pans or sheets, depending on the proper baking technique for the item.
  • Bake cakes and pastries
  • Coordinate deliveries to the bakery and buy necessary ingredients to ensure a fully stocked bakery to reduce any downtime during the day.
  • Perform routine checks on raw materials to ensure they adhere to highquality standards and are not expired or damaged.
  • Inspect baked goods to ensure they are of the highest quality
  • Adjust the amount of ingredients, the oven temperatures, conveyor speeds and humidity as needed so that all products come out as expected.
