Job Title - Debt Collection agent
Basic pay £22,795.50 OTE £25k
6 months contract
Option to work from home 2 days a week in month 2 (performance dependent)

Role overview
We are looking for confident and assertive individuals to joins us to in outbound debt collection.
You will be responsible for contacting customers, collecting immediate payments, and letting our query team know if we need to investigate something.
You will work closely with our credit control and legal functions by passing across complex debtor issues.Key tasks
- Maximising debt collections through outbound phone activity only.
- Triage complex debtor issues to the correct teams
- Collecting customer remittances for the accounts payable teams
- Signing customers up to the MyJLA portal
- Taking payments by debit or credit card
- Signing customers up to Direct Debit payments
- Considering next steps when debts are unrecoverable
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Knowledge and Skills (what you know and what you can do)
- Demonstrated history of good telephony skills
- Ability to demonstrate confident and persuasive conversational skills
Experience (what you have done)
- Experience of working in a busy office environment and to tight deadlines
- Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service or call centre environment
- Experience of working at pace

- Capability to be both personable and firm with clients, to resolve any issues and collect any money owed
