Cawingredients are currently recruiting for a Specifications Technologist role within our fast moving, dynamic growing business. We supply high volume soft drinks principally to the UK market.We operate from a state-of-the-art production facility based in North Yorkshire.

The main purpose of the Specification Technologist involves the creation of finished product specifications and management of the specification process within set timescales.
Typical duties and responsibilities:
- Create, review, and coordinate the approval of finished product specifications for multiple customers via differing formats.
- Conduct annual reviews of all raw material and finished product specifications to ensure they are up to date.
- Set up and approve suppliers.
- Ensure all specifications and supporting documentation are compliant with BRC and customer standards.
- Work with sustainability and packaging teams as required.
- Review the Caw supplier and raw material approval process develop a process and documents that will support efficient completion of finished product specifications, and ensure the business always has consistent and relevant information.
- Strong attention to detail
- Be able to prioritize where applicable and work to deadlines.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations including HACCP and BRC requirements
- Ability to use specification systems and software for managing technical documents.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal departments.
- Good understanding of writing technical food specifications.
- Provide technical support to enable the business to meet food safety, legality, and specific customer requirements.
Salary:
£36,000.00 per year
