Teachers UK are currently recruiting a SENco for a long term position on behalf of an alternative provision in the Derby area starting ASAP.

The position is full time and will be for a minimum of 1 term with the likelihood of extending.

As a SENco at this provision, it is essential that you can work with challenging behaviour.

About the Provision:
This provision enables young people to develop their knowledge and skills so that they can increase independence. The aim to is deliver both curriculum and core life skills through new experiences to support the learners.

The ideal teacher will:

Have a passion for working with SEND students
Ensure teachers have knowledge and skills to carry out SEN policies
Assessing needs of the children and providing plans to support them
Providing referrals for children to receive support out of school from therapists or tutors
Have the ability to communicate and engage with students
Have excellent behaviour management skills
Have a commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of students
Be a positive role model for students
