You will also gain exposure to key areas of infrastructure planning including how the Council plans for, funds and programmes infrastructure delivery.


Your development will in turn be supported by a wealth of experienced officers and invested in by the Service through various training programmes.


  • To support the collection and operation of infrastructure funding from available sources, such as CIL and S106 income streams and support the delivery of infrastructure planning projects/programmes and development viability initiatives across the service._

ROLE

REQUIREMENTS:

To support tHe collection and operation of infrastructure funding from available sources, such as CIL and S106

To populate and maintain data stores, for funding information in relation to projects and programmes.


To lead the accurate management of and be responsible for data stores, in relation to large sums of money for the Council, in excess of millions, for the Council's S106 and CIL income streams.

To support the initiation and development of projects and programmes, working to other team members.

To develop, under own initiative, ideas and solutions to key issues within a project.

To lead key project areas and seek solutions, where required, with some contact with team leader to achieve successful

project objectives.

To assist in the procurement of expert advice, on various project and programme matters.


To ensure the delivery of the Council's equality objectives and engage in team planning/service planning initiatives, led by more senior officers.

To carry out regular and frequent site visits and inspections, reporting back to the team.


To undertake any other duties and responsibilities which may arise from time to time, and which are commensurate with the grade of the post and within the capabilities of the post holder.

To encourage colleagues, often more senior, to deliver tasks; ensuring successful project outcomes


Knowledge
1.1

Knowledge of key issues relating to the planning and delivery of large scale initiatives

and projects within inner London
OR knowledge of detailed finance systems and processes, within a busy finance environment


1.2 Knowledge of planning legislation and policy at national, London and local planning authority level
ORknowledge of financial regulations/legislation at a local authority level.

1.3 Knowledge of maintaining data management systems and reporting


Qualifications & Experience
1.4 Experience of maintaining IT systems, utilising and understanding financial spreadsheets, data entry, analysis and reporting.

1.5 Experience of assisting the delivery of large scale projects, in either the public or private sector.

1.6 Experience of using own

initiative to find solutions

to challenges, for successful project outcomes.

1.8 Experience of input into team and/or service improvement.


Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm

Contract length: 9 months


Salary:
£22.00-£23.00 per hour
