The Role


Youth Options has developed a reputation for delivering high quality targeted youth work to support young people to minimise the impact of negative life experiences.

The aim of our targeted provision is to engage, develop and empower children and young people who have experienced negative life experiences which may impact their future outcomes; this may include looked after children, young people who have been excluded or risk exclusion from education, those engaging in risky behaviours or those suffering with poor mental health.

As Team Leader for Prevention Services you will lead on planning, coordinating and implementing a programme of outstanding delivery.

You will be responsible for managing and inspiring a team of Youth Support Workers to plan, deliver, evaluate, programmes of work from two youth centres and to grow a high-quality programme of prevention services across Totton and Waterside.

Ideally you will have a proven ability to offer high-quality leadership, management and support to both teams and individuals.


This role requires a confident and creative individual with experience of youth work who is able to adapt sessions to a variety of environments including public outdoor spaces, youth clubs and community outreach sessions.

Regular evening and occasional weekend working will be required


Person Specification
Experience - Working with children and young people including those who are vulnerable or at risk - Experience of delivering 1:1 to children and young people - Planning effective programmes of work for children and young people - Leading and/or managing a team - Working with outside agencies in a positive and professional manner


Pay:
£26,910.00-£28,860.00 per year
